Denver, Colorado is a city known for its celebration of culture and heritage and is one of the more diverse cities in the United States. The city features many multicultural events throughout the year and pays homage to the many cultures of their residents including the Native American, African American, and Hispanic cultures that helped make Denver into a cultural hub for many. Some of these events and celebrations include a dragon boat festival to honor Asian tradition, the nation’s largest and most diversified Native American gathering, and the nation’s largest Cinco De Mayo Festival, which celebrates the city’s rich Mexican culture. The city of Denver and the surrounding communities in Colorado are committed to maintaining this rich sense of belonging and diversity, and it extends to the wide range of employers in the area as well. Many companies within Denver are committed to reaching certain diversity goals and realize that building teams with diverse people can lead to greater success.
Scion Staffing Denver is known for its work in promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the staffing and recruiting industry. Scion Staffing aims to ensure that organizations in the Denver area, and all of Colorado, have access to a talent pool that accurately represents the diverse surrounding communities. Our organization is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We prioritize inclusive hiring processes and have initiatives in place to create a welcoming workplace for all individuals. With certified diversity recruiters on our local and remote teams, we are able source a diverse pool of candidates for various industries. Scion Staffing strategically seeks out and hires applicants from underrepresented groups in an effort to give every qualified candidate the same opportunity regardless of their race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or socioeconomic condition.
At Scion, we believe that diverse teams are not only a strength, but an essential part of success for any business and organization. This is why we recognize Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as one of our core values. At the very core of our organization as a socially conscious diversity staffing agency, we are passionate about making sure that our clients do everything possible to promote and ensure that their entire hiring process, from application to interviews, is thoughtfully equitable, inclusive, and beneficial for all applicants, including those from a diverse background. Our recruiting and staffing firm maintains the willingness to ask questions and make best practice recommendations to our clients, candidates, and vendors to achieve this goal.
As your recruiting partner, we have made the conscious decision to not aid companies or organizations that are discriminatory, harass employees, or that do not foster a positive workplace environment. We have partnered with many clients who share a similar mission as ours, and we are excited to keep partnering with more amazing organizations that share these values. Our staff is dedicated to providing intentional recruitment support by being aware of and removing bias throughout our processes and continuing to be an industry leader by sharing best practices with our clients, candidates and internal staff.

I am proud to say that the growth and impact of the Scion Staffing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee is having a multiplier effect on the interest and passion that our team brings to our work and clients. With DEI, there is an inherent, wide spectrum of where peoples’ interest and passion is.

Embracing diversity, equity, inclusion, representation, and an overall sense of belonging can significantly change perceptions of the world around you. Letting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging be a part of your approach to others in your personal and professional life creates an environment that people want to be a part of.

There are many benefits of incorporating DEI strategies into the workplace, but for me, the most important is creating a sense of belonging for employees. For employees to do their best work and to expand their professional capacity, it’s critical that they feel a sense of belonging with their colleagues. With a sense of belonging comes a feeling of trust and safety. When trust and safety are present, employees feel comfortable asking for help, taking risks, making mistakes (and learning from them), as well as providing support to their co-workers.
